Outer banks Water Temperature
The Outer Banks are a lovely link of islands off the gorgeous coasts of North Carolina that make a wonderful vacation spot for all water related sports and activities. Historically, these islands are well known for being the place where the Wright’s brothers’ first ever flight took place.

These islands first became home to English settlers and are also where many herds of banker ponies are found. The islands and peninsulas of the Outer Banks create an amazing barrier between mainland North Carolina and the Atlantic Ocean.

Best Travel Time for Outer Banks
If you are planning a holiday in these string of North Carolina islands and peninsula, you must take care to go there when the temperature is just right for the best experience out in the azure waves and golden beaches.
During the months of March to May and September to November, the sun starts to shine brighter and the Outer Banks Water Temperature is warm. This is the best time to visit.
