Best time to visit Huntington Beach
Summer is the busiest time of year, and from May to September the beach is filled with surfers of every level. Other activities such as swimming or wind surfing are also available.
Temperatures range from 64F or 18C to 87F or 31C in January to 73F or 23C to 107F o3 42C at the peak time, normally the first few days in September. Warm, sunny days and cool nights in winter and hot, sunny summers make the city a great choice for vacations at any time of the year.
You should see this when you visiting Huntington Beach
Be prepared for crowds when it gets hot further inland during the summer. The beach can have as many as 500,000 visitors on the hottest days, but as it is 9 and a half miles of clean, golden sand, there is still room for everyone.
May and June are excellent times to visit when it is less busy and the surf conditions are very good. There is a board shop on the boardwalk do beginners can have a go too. The wide boardwalk is perfect for cycling, rollerblading or just strolling along taking in the superb views over the Pacific or watching some of the best surfers in the world in action. There are dozens of friendly bars on Main Street, or try a spot of retail therapy at the Bella Terra mall where you’ll find a wide variety of shops, restaurants and a cinema complex.
