Any time of year is perfect for a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. However, during the ‘green season’ which lasts from December to March tropical downpours through the night are likely. On the plus side, mornings tend to be glorious and sunny with light trade winds, the perfect climate for sailing holidays or diving and surfing trips.
